In addition to a clear focus on the correct identification of these requirements through the Voice of the Customer research and the constant and detailed measurement of how we perform against them, functional and cross-functional teams work on specific improvement projects to help deliver our business plan.

Product and Process Development

Our Voice of the Customer research tells us clearly how we need to develop existing and new products for the future in the light of changing customer requirements through fashion or technology and in the context of our key competitors. A team of skilled and experienced technicians drive the work to improve product performance and to optimise our production processes as well as doing the detailed development work on new projects identified from the market.

In addition to a full range of chemical and physical testing equipment on-site, the Development team work closely with customers and suppliers in the trialing of new ideas. A full twin-wire machine - in miniature allows experimentation away from the big production machines.
