trucard is made from 100% Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) woodpulps, sourced from carefully managed and renewed forests. trucard is fully recyclable and is manufactured to precise and controlled standards. trucard x2 is a range of coated and uncoated woodfree solid bleached sulphate (SBS) laminated heavy-weight boards with all the features and benefits of the trucard range.
trucard x2 products are based on the same twin-wire base construction as the rest of the trucard range to guarantee exceptional bulk, stiffness and stability. This, combined with double-blade coating on the coated range and a uniform surface finish on the uncoated version, results in excellent printability and conversion characteristics.
trucard x2 contains woodpulps from well managed forests certified in accordance with the rules of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
trucard ice is a one side coated (C1S), woodfree solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board, with an exceptional, ultra high gloss coated surface. The unique manufacturing process used to make trucard ice ensures it has the superbly smooth glossy surface of a cast coated board while it retains the excellent printability and strength characteristics expected from a conventional SBS board. With its high bulk and superior ink drying speeds trucard ice is ideal for those physically demanding premium card, cover and packaging jobs where a high gloss surface is required but no compromise is allowed in the printing, conversion or final performance.
trucard ice silver PortaBio® is a one side coated, woodfree solid bleached sulphate board, available in 335g/m2 and 385g/m2, with an exceptionally smooth high gloss silver metallised film laminated to the coated surface.
Unlike traditional plastic metallised films the silver PortaBio® film is made from renewable, sustainable, recyclable and compostible materials which combined with its FSC certification ensures that it ticks all the boxes with regard to environmental credentials.
The premium quality prelacquered metallised surface of trucard ice silver PortaBio® provides the printer and designer with an environmentally friendly option when it comes to luxury card, cover and packaging applications.
trucard 0 is a premium quality uncoated woodfree solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board, available in 3 finishes all giving the same outstanding physical, printing and converting performance as the existing trucard 1 and trucard 2 grades. Selected raw materials, combined with a twin-wire manufacturing process, provide boards with outstanding stiffness and bulk.
trucard 0 matt has a natural uncoated surface while trucard 0 felt has a subtle textured effect offering a pleasing tactile finish. Both are exceptionally bright white shades. trucard 0 felt extra is designed for the most demanding print requirements and has a special light coating on both sides to give the optimum balance of looking and feeling like an uncoated but delivering the ink lift of a coated sheet.
trucard recycled is a range of coated and uncoated solid bleached sulphate (SBS) boards with exceptional environmental credentials. It is available in an extensive range of grammages and finishes, with each product in the range containing 50% recycled pulp, from de-inked post consumer waste. Like the entire trucard range, trucard recycled is Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified.
The use of only the best quality FSC certified recycled pulps ensures the levels of shade and cleanliness are competitive with equivalent virgin fibre boards. Also important are the physical characteristics which remain those of a true cartonboard, making trucard recycled ideal for a wide range of demanding promotional, premium packaging, card and cover applications.
The trucard range now offers trucard 1 gloss, trucard 2 gloss and trucard 0 matt in HP Indigo certified versions. The extension to the coated and uncoated solid bleached sulphate (SBS) board range offers users an added choice when looking for a genuine SBS board with excellent environmental credentials and exceptional HP Indigo performance.
With the characteristics of the core trucard range, switching between standard and Indigo approved versions, depending on the preferred printing method is easy. Like the entire trucard range, the HP Indigo versions are Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. HP Indigo printing enables personalised short-runs such as business cards and greetings cards where information can be changed on the run. trucard is ideally suited for these applications, given its high bulk and outstanding stiffness, giving a real feeling of quality. The trucard products achieved the highest rating of 3 stars, also making them ideal for high quality photo printing.
The trucard HP Indigo certified range consists of trucard 1 gloss from 200 to 280 gsm, 2 gloss from 200 to 350 gsm and trucard 0 matt from 220 to 280 gsm.
