Electrical Papers

Tullis Russell Papermakers are one of the world's leading suppliers of electrical insulating papers for use in transformers and bushings. All conform to detailed industrial or individual customer specifications.

Our electrical insulating papers come in two forms : standard flat or plain papers which can be thermally upgraded; and selected crepe papers with a controlled degree of stretch varying from 40% to 150%.

All our electrical insulating papers are produced on specialised equipment. The use of carefully selected unbleached wood pulps ensure consistency and superior performance both electrically and mechanically.

Speciality Products

In addition to traditional writing and printing grades Tullis Russell Papermakers also produces a wide range of speciality papers and boards. These papers, many of which are made to exacting industry or individual customer specifications, are sold into the paper converting industry.

Carefully selected raw material combined with the twin wire papermaking process and the unique Truflo coater ensures that our speciality products have excellent fibre formation, surface smoothness and appearance, dimensional stability and consistent physical properties. As a result the papers and boards can be processed through a wide range of equipment quickly and efficiently.

Tullis Russell Papermakers products are designed for use in a variety of speciality applications. Such products can be used as substrates for aqueous, solvent and solventless coating applications, lamination, impregnation and polymer extrusion applications.
