Print Processes

Tullis Russell Coatings is renowned for formulating surface coatings that bring out the best in all the printing processes, inks and technologies being used. This enables the designer's artwork to be fully appreciated. We offer. specific coatings to provide optimum, cost effective results, for all printing processes, such as offset, gravure, intaglio and various combinations.

Gummed Stamps

All our water- activated adhesives are FDA approved, therefore guaranteeing their safety. These adhesives can be colour tinted if required. In addition we are pleased to offer simple single colour printing (e.g. text) beneath the adhesive coating.

Self-Adhesive Stamps

Consumer acceptance of self-adhesive stamps and their increased cost effectiveness has seen a growth in demand. We offer a full range of products for various self adhesive stamp formats, including booklets, sheetlets and coils. All of our self- adhesive products can include a water-soluble barrier to allow the removal of stamps by the philatelist.

Mail Processing

The postage stamp plays a key role in the effective processing of mail through automated sorting facilities. This may require the use of machine- readable chemicals such as fluorescents or phosphors. These can be cost effectively included in our products. Our coatings are also formulated to ensure that effective cancellation can be carried out.

Security

The increased incidence of fraudulent practices internationally has seen a growing requirement for security features. We offer a wide range of security options. These include watermarks, security fibres, planchettes, highlights and covert images.
