Tullis Russell Coaters Delighted with FSC Accreditation
Tullis Russell Coaters, the UK’s leading, independent coating and converting company, has recently added Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) accreditation and a Chain of Custody (COC) certificate to its list of eco credentials. The award for the purchase, processing, sales and distribution of paper products is the result of a genuine commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
Founded in 1993, FSC is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world's forests. It is also supported by the World Wildlife Fund, Friends of the Earth and the Woodland Trust.
To achieve FSC accreditation Tullis Russell Coaters had to prove, though an independent third party audit, that the forestry resources we use set the highest standards of forest management, being social acceptable, environmentally responsible and economically viable. The FSC system tracks the wood fibre used in Tullis Russell products right back through the supply chain, thereby ensuring that the coating company are in no way contributing to the destruction of the environment.
Stephen Forbes, Managing Director at Tullis Russell Coaters is delighted with the award.
“Tullis Russell has always been at the forefront of environmental awareness in the paper and board industry. Thanks to FSC accreditation our customers can be certain that the finest quality paper and boards that they demand can come from renewable sources; Just one more reason to choose Tullis Russell Coaters.”
Tullis Russell Coaters is part of the Tullis Russell Group and together have been a specialist in the paper manufacturing and coating industry for nearly two centuries. The Group has an extensive product range including security, ceramic and textile transfer papers and has customers in more than 120 countries throughout the world.
