Tullis Russell Coaters are at the forefront of keeping this evermore sophisticated counterfeiting at bay. We have applied our widespread coating experience to create a multi-layered security product. This allows fakes to be identified quickly and easily, in fast moving environments, such as the high street, the concert venue and transport hubs.

Security features

• Tearing the paper reveals a colour different to that of the base paper, available in a range of substances and colours.

• Pigments, which absorb light and radiate in the visible wavelength.
  • Infra red, with a unique combination of wavelengths.
  • UV fluorescent, available in yellow, green, red or orange.
  • UV phosphorescent, with a UV pigment that continues to glow after the light is extinguished.

• Translucent images in the paper, bespoke and generic.

• Paper changes colour if alterations are attempted - sensitive to acids, alkalis, bleaches, solvents and alcohols.

• Fine, polymer fibres, overt or machine readable by UV light, randomly distributed.

• A coating enhances the performance of optically variable printing inks.

• Our patented Fibreloc® system offers an encoding and verification system that ensures a unique ID – a ‘fingerprint’ for every document processed.
