Fibreloc®

Fibreloc® is a revolutionary solution to the problem of counterfeit security documents such as personal ID documents, tickets, cheques and product labels.

The patented Fibreloc® concept is based on image analysis of the naturally occurring and random distribution of UV fibres present in Fibreloc® ready paper.

As each sheet has a different UV fibre distribution, they produce a different and therefore a unique fibre key – very much like a fingerprint for every document processed.

How it works

Enrolment

Printed documents are scanned by a Fibreloc® unit, which measures each sheet’s unique fibre key and links this code to a personalised barcode or personal identifier on the document.

The Barcode / serial numbers with their corresponding fibre key are stored in a database. Only when the Fibreloc® ready documents have been enrolled do they become Fibreloc® secure.

Verification

The database can then transfer the data to a verifying unit. This scans the document to read the barcode and Fibreloc® secure code.

VERIFIED
If Fibreloc® key & serial number from the sample matches the one in the database then the item is genuine and authenticated.

FAILED
If Fibreloc® key & serial number does not match the database code then the item fails verification.
