Temporary Tattoos
These are manufactured using a waterslide transfer paper.
Printing temporary tattoos
|
Transfers are printed in negative form either by the screen or litho process. (Some inks may require a clear lacquer downcoat to be printed first.)
The inks are overprinted with a pressure-sensitive adhesive, in register with the outline of the design.
A release liner (a siliconised paper or film) is then applied.
Applying temporary tattoos
|
The release liner is peeled away and tattoo applied face down to the skin.
The backing paper is moistened with water for 10-20 seconds and then removed, leaving the transfer face up.
The tattoo will stay in place for up to several days and can easily be removed using eye make-up remover or baby oil.
